Purchasing Manager / Senior Buyer

Role & Responsibilities:

Develops and implements purchasing strategies
Manages daily purchasing activities
Maintains the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation
Determine with stakeholders (plants/warehouse/commercial) inventory levels
Ensure that all purchased items meet the required quality standards and specifications
Prepare cost estimates and manages budgets
Works to improve purchasing systems and processes
Support and cooperates with the different project teams and ensures that the project milestones & deliverables are achieved.
Initiates and implements cost down initiatives, (new) supplier selection, contract management, supply chain optimization, ...

Requirements:

Master (technical/commercial) or equivalent by experience: preferably minimum 5 years of experience
Excellent project management skills
Knowledge of principles and practices of purchasing
Experience in Production Procurement (aluminum/steel) and technical Project Procurement such HVAC materials and systems, insulations techniques, construction materials, subcontracting, equipment and material rentals, ….
Works closely with manufacturing plants (Germany and Poland) to fulfill their requirement in raw materials (extruded aluminum, steel)
Develops, makes contracts and manages a supplier portfolio during quoting phase by working closely with all internal stakeholders.
Strong negotiation skills
Social relation skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Full of initiative and organizational awareness
Ability to use appropriate IT applications, proficiency in Microsoft office applications, information exchange applications, ERP tools (ODOO is a plus).
Analytical, accurate and delivers high quality work
Strong planning and organization skills
Deep understanding of cultural differences
Stress resistant
