Join a dynamic and multicultural Bid Unit managed by the Executive Commercial Director, with team members located in Brussels, Colombo (Sri Lanka), Casablanca (Morocco), and Nanterre (France).
As a Senior Bid Manager, your role is central to expanding SUEZ Consulting’s international footprint through the preparation of successful proposals and bids for donor-funded projects. You will be instrumental in leading commercial efforts, coordinating internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality tenders.
Your Role & Responsibilities
Commercial & Strategic Tasks
- Monitor and analyze upcoming international tenders and funding opportunities
- Draft and manage Pre-Qualification and Expression of Interest files
- Prepare administrative sections of proposals and coordinate submission efforts
- Support the development of technical documents in collaboration with engineering teams
- Identify and initiate strategic partnerships and networks with external consultants and firms
- Take ownership in managing the full proposal cycle, from commercial screening through to contract negotiation
Reporting & Coordination
- Maintain and update tender databases and internal commercial tracking tools
- Ensure all documentation is reviewed, validated, and submitted in accordance with deadlines and quality standards
- Coordinate input with Finance and Legal Departments, ensuring alignment on cost, compliance, and contractual matters
- Provide regular reporting to the Head of Bid Unit and executive leadership
- Represent the team in internal knowledge sharing activities
Cross-Functional & Leadership Contributions
- Mentor and supervise junior bid manager and trainees
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing activities, technical working groups, and in-house events
- Support onboarding of new team members
- Deliver practical training sessions on bid and proposal preparation
General Requirements
- Fluent in English and French (written and spoken); knowledge of a third language is a valuable asset
- Higher education in engineering, environmental science, international development, or related fields
- Minimum 8years of experience in bid preparation for international development projects funded by donors such as EU, EIB, AFD, World Bank, ADB etc.
- Solid understanding of international financial institutions (IFIs) procedures and project methodologies (e.g., project cycle, logical framework)
- Experience in the implementation of development projects (fieldwork) is a plus
Technical Skills
- Strong analytical and technical writing abilities
- Proficient in IT tools, minimum at Microsoft Office Suite level (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Able to manage multiple deadlines
- Detail-oriented, with a focus on both technical content and budget accuracy
