About Our Client

Family-owned brokerage firm specialised in Private Banking.

Job Description

The compliance officer role is an independent function with a focus on applying laws and regulations as well as respecting internal procedures and policies to protect the reputation and integrity of the company.The function includes the following responsibilities:- Perform due diligence on service providers and banks

  • Develop expertise to provide appropriate advice on legal and regulatory aspects affecting investment services and activities as well as additional services (MiFID, market abuse, anti-money laundering and governance)

  • Ensure appropriate monitoring and review of market, liquidity, and operational risks

  • Ensure adequate monitoring of investment eligibility, compliance with investment guidelines, KYC

  • Create and deliver risk management reports

  • Update Risk Management Process and supporting policies and procedures

  • Update and follow-up Compliance Monitoring Process and supporting policies and procedures

  • Reporting and liaising with outsourced regulatory consultants

  • Carry out legal and regulatory monitoring by integrating new features and updates into projects

  • Write reports for regulators (BNB and FSMA)

  • Report important issues to the various entities concerned like Management Committee or else

The Successful Applicant

The candidate should demonstrate:- A Master’s in law, economics or alike

  • A Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

  • A previous experience with capital market, securities or Private Banking will be a must

  • Eager and motivated to work in a dynamic family-owned environment

  • Autonomous personality, with proactive and dynamic approach

  • Acting as transparent professional with a high level of confidentiality
