Job Description & Summary

Leading with heart, living by values

PwC Advisory is a garden of possibilities, and you’re reaping the rewards. Where you want to make an impact is always up to you. With the full support of our Advisory teams, you’ll delve into the inner workings of companies to find the best solutions for any challenge they might have. From the excitement of deals to the complexities of consulting and the fascinating realm of risks and threats in forensics, you’ll help clients nurture trust and maintain their evolutionary edge, today and into the future. Now that’s making a difference.

A career in our Delivering Deal Value practice, within our market leading Deals Transaction Services practice, will provide you with the opportunity to help organisations realise the potential of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures and capital markets. In short, we help some of the world’s leading companies originate, create, execute and realise value from deals. Coupled with our data-driven insights, we help our clients move in the right direction ensuring maximum value for their company. You’ll help clients build trust and maintain their competitive edge, today and into the future. Now that’s making a difference.

What you’ll learn and do

  • You are part of the larger Deals team that provides buy and sell side due diligence, valuation, M&A, debt and capital advice, restructuring and (re)financing services (both financial and operational). Your team drives implementation of post-merger integration, carve-out, operational reviews and operational due diligence pre- or post deal, with a focus on both private equity, portfolio companies and corporate companies.
  • Post-deal, you will focus on designing and implementing integration and/or carve-out projects, realising the plans and benefits set forward during the transaction (defining day 1 and day 100 plans, realising synergy potentials, setting up governance structures, defining target operating model, facilitating a successful integration or carve-out, ensuring milestones are achieved, connecting with SMEs of different substreams where needed, etc.).
  • Pre-deal, you will focus on the operational perspective during due diligence or restructuring by rapidly identifying and analysing key operational risks and opportunities (manufacturing, supply chain, etc.), possible synergies and improvement potential, set up roadmaps for cost reduction, identify and quantify process and business improvements, etc. You will be assisted by seasoned financial consultants who will help tie the improvement opportunities together with a transparent and accurate financial impacts calculation.
  • The role requires a good understanding of the different business aspects (e.g. operational, financial, tax and legal, etc.), strong communication skills and the ability to build strong working relations with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders.

Who you are, what you’re like

  • You’re a passionate professional with experience in operational and technical challenges with an interest in M&A implementation or operational improvement projects.
  • You hold a Master’s Degree in Business, Engineering or Economics, or equivalent.
  • You have between 3 to 7 years’ relevant professional experience. By preference you have operations industry experience (e.g. manufacturing, supply chain, project management, process improvement, make-or-buy strategies, logistics or contractual procurement) within a corporate environment and/or management consultancy in a similar field of expertise.
  • You have the ability to build strong working relations with (senior) clients, including influence, advice and support key decision makers
  • You have excellent communication skills, a passion to take on new challenges and you have the ability to be a great team player
  • You wish to work in an advisory role and want to inspire and retain clients (internal or external).
  • You have an excellent knowledge of English and either Dutch or French.

What we offer

  • Valuable professional experience at the ‘best business school in the world’
  • Continuous learning with classroom training (both technical and soft skills) in Belgium and abroad
  • A workspace where everyone feels respected, valued and free to be themselves
  • Inspiring and awesome colleagues
  • Team events such as Last Friday Drinks, team-building days and celebrations, as well as time spent on community days and charity activities
  • Forward-looking and very accessible leadership hosting inspirational lunches
  • An extensive health programme including an online platform and various challenges, yoga and Pilates in our offices, yearly flu vaccinations, sports communities, mental resilience workshops and so on
  • A flexible working schedule including homeworking and the possibility to conveniently make use of various holiday schemes
  • An interesting salary and benefits package
  • And much more!
