Senior Credit Analyst

Description

• You will be responsible for the credit analyses for the larger and/or more complex credit applications based on information available in the bank, as well as own credit analyses.
• You play a key role in balancing asset growth and credit quality as part of achieving our client’s financial objectives.
• You will participate in the creation, rollout and monitoring of credit risk policies and procedures.
• You will monitor and review active accounts to reduce or prevent bad debt losses.
• You will prepare our client’s weekly credit committee, take minutes and communicate decisions.
• You will work with and support the credit analysts.
• You work together with the Compliance & Risk Manager in order to correctly apply the compliance rules.
• You are responsible for the preparation of periodic and ad-hoc reports (e.g. Large Exposures, Encours, Credit Lines Due, ...).
• You support the Management team in the assessment of major credit risks.
• You play an active role in setting up and maintaining the 3 Lines of Defense model.

Profile

• You have a master’s degree in Commercial Science, TEW, Commercial Engineering, Statistics.... or equivalent through experience.
• You have a working knowledge of credit risk management and have sound market and sector knowledge.
• You have an excellent knowledge of Excel and/or other reporting tools.
• You are pragmatic, flexible and self-starting.
• You have a highly analytical mindset and possess good presentation skills.
• You have strong communication skills with which you can deliver your message in a constructive way to the executive committee, the various risk functions within the bank, as well as to the Sales department of Belfius Auto Lease.
• You have an eye for detail.
• You are able to present technical information in a clear and concise manner.
• You speak fluent Dutch and French, English is a plus.
• You are accurate, analytical, stress resistant and can work under time pressure and with strict deadlines.
