Innovative Medicine Principle Operations (IMPO) belongs to the Johnson & Johnson group of companies. J&J IMPO is a global organization located in USA, Belgium, Ireland, the Netherlands, Singapore and Switzerland.

Our mission is to provide diligent stewardship of the J&J Innovative Medicine business model, by protecting and optimizing the product intellectual property (IP) structures in close collaboration with Commercial, R&D, Supply Chain, Tax and Treasury.

Currently we are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the IMPO organization in Beerse, Belgium, as part of the Affiliate Business Center of Excellence.

The Affiliate Business CoE is a cross-principal team responsible for – amongst others –the management of the Affiliate Gross Profit, the design and implementation of product financial flows, the review of commercial affiliates operating margins, the coordination of transfer prices, the assessment of inter-company profit eliminations, the management of manufacturing cost prices and coordination and analytics of transactional FX impacts

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to lead the manufacturing cost price (MCP) calculation process. In this role you will interact with colleagues from Finance and Supply Chain/Planning from all manufacturing sites and develop in depth knowledge about Innovative Medicine product flows. You will partner with the Transcend project team in reviewing existing product flows and also have the opportunity to work on new financial flows for NPIs.

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacturing cost price collection and management reporting:

  • The ABCoE team is responsible for the calculation of the manufacturing cost prices (MCPs) that are used in management reporting. Using the custom SCR tool, you will perform cost collection and review the calculated cost prices before they are published and used for reporting in actual and budget cycles by our global affiliate companies.
  • For products in your scope, you will make sure that the financial flow information is accurate and complete in SCR. This includes drawing the product flow and allocating bills of material, plant codes and material SKUs to the flow.
  • Together with ABCoE colleagues, you will support the longer-term goal to integrate the calculation of the MCPs in SAP4 (TranSCend project).
  • You will help document the processes running on the SCR platform for backup purposes and to prepare for new system implementation in the TranSCend project.

Financial flow development:

  • Together with finance colleagues in IMPO and Supply Chain, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of financial flows to facilitate new product launches. Each team member leads a number of new product introductions. This work is performed in close cooperation with Supply Chain, Tax, Trade Compliance, IT and Planning.
  • You will be involved in the coordination of changes to existing financial flows, for which you’ll work together with IMPO colleagues in our principal companies.
  • You will be responsible to document financial flows in Microsoft Visio and will support the introduction of new flow visualization tools.
  • Alongside the colleagues involved in financial flow development, you will participate in projects aimed at improving flow implementation and status reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Team player – able to balance own interests with those of the team
  • Strong analytic skills and the ability to balance big picture with attention to detail
  • Interested to strengthen expertise in the set-up of global financial flows and profit alignment between Janssen entities in line with IP structures
  • Strong communication skills - able to clearly convey key insights tailored to the audience
  • A finance / accounting background with a minimum of 3 years of relevant business experience is preferred, but this job is also open to internal candidates with a different background who wish to move into finance
  • Good understanding of financial systems and comfortable working in a changing systems landscape
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and deadlines
  • A passion to achieve results and improve
  • Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus
