European Commodities is a Belgian family owned company providing energy market access, portfolio management and energy balancing services to electricity suppliers, big industry and developers of renewable energy assets. Established in 2017, our company is present in Belgium, France and the Netherlands and intends to grow fast to all the European power markets. Our headquarter is located in Deerlijk, West-Flanders.

The energy market is changing rapidly. The integration of renewable energy production assets increases the volatility of the electricity markets and requires a high level of expertise, a state-of-the-art back-office platform and very qualified people who can adapt continuously to new paradigms.

We need people who will help us to develop and operate new products and services allowing us to grow our competitive edge. Function

You role is to trade on the short-term markets to optimize the portfolio’s of our customers. You ensure the balancing of these portfolio’s taking into account weather conditions, consumption patterns and price opportunities on the energy markets. You work in collaboration with a team ensuring a continuous presence on the energy markets.

Qualifications

  • You hold a degree in a finance, economics, physics, mathematics, engineering or similar
  • An experience in trading, whatever the sector, is appreciated but not required
  • You have a good level of English
