We are looking for a Sourcing Managerwho is agile, a team player, and eager to join us in our Procurement Sourcing team, based in our Headquartersin Brussels, Belgium.

About The Role

T he Sourcing Manager is responsible for handling end to end sourcing operations in strict alignment with all UCB applicable processes, procedures, and Code of Conduct.

What You’ll Do

  • Build solid relationships with the extended stakeholder eco-system to fully understand the business and their requirements. Act as an operational business partner for the sourcing activities between the stakeholders and the rest of the Procurement Organization.
  • Act as a strategic sourcing partner for accelerating launch activities to leverage UCB competitive advantage.
  • Comply with existing regulatory requirements and guidelines for all Compliance and GxP activities (US).
  • Manage and nurture selected supplier’s relationships in alignment with the relevant Procurement Value Leads (PVL).
  • Negotiate terms & conditions with suppliers.
  • Follow up and negotiate changes of scope, including contract amendments.
  • Bring insights from operational daily business which might be valuable for Patient Value Business Units.
  • Ensure contractual terms are in place to mitigate the risks identified during RFP or in the PVL strategies.
  • Audit preparation and risk mitigation in the functions or regions/countries.

  • Proven experience in Purchasing, Scientific or Technical (5-10 y) areas in industry with strong financial and commercial exposure.
  • Master’s degree. MA in Business Administration, Science, Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, or similar relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Creativity, emotional intelligence, critical thinking.
  • Team player, fostering diversity and inclusion, capable of operating in cross-functional, multi-lingual, cultural teams.
  • Service and result orientation, accountability and pride in performance and its impact on company’s success.
  • Effective communication, storytelling, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage by influencing & convincing and to conduct meetings at senior level.
  • Effective networking and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to read, analyse and interpret contractual documents.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, and talent for accuracy and precision.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good time-management skills: ability to handle a lot of projects on a simultaneous basis - prioritization).
  • Digitally savviness.
