Supply Chain Planner


We are looking for an enthusiastic, inquisitive Supply Chain Planner who has an eye for detail, who thinks about solving problems and who strives to know everything in relation to production planning and the production process.

JBT in Sint Niklaas where this position sits, we are in the unique position of being able to offer extensive thermal process expertise regarding virtually all low and high acid foods in nearly every type of sterilizing system and every type of package, by virtue of our position as a recognized thermal process authority. Our Research and Technology Centre in Sint Niklaas assists with Process Validation, Process Development, Container Performance Studies and Training.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of our Supply Chain Plannerwould look like this …


  • Assessing the proposals for internal production and purchases generated by our ERP system, checking the certificates and analysing differences in information. Following this, you would process the administrative transactions surrounding this work.
  • Monitoring technical changes in production and purchasing and implement these changes in relation to the parts you procure, as you go.
  • You will perform inventory optimization by checking the figures and determining any reordering and the quantities required.
  • You will also handle more complex projects administratively and support the engineering, purchasing and sales teams, providing information as required by a project.
  • Best of all we love fresh ideas and if you have any improvement proposals within logistics, we would love to hear them.

Qualifications

We would like you to have what’s listed below, however we are super keen on diversity in the workplace – if you have something transferable come and tell us about it …

  • We would like you to have a Bachelor or master’s degree of equivalent business experience – this can be from within Engineering, Procurement or Production related.
  • You need to be a super organised person and a great administrator.
  • Have a passion for numbers and be full conversant using up to date IT tools (especially Excel).
  • For you to be a team player, an analytical person, someone who can work well in a pressurised environment and be a great communicator.
  • In view of the international nature of our business management, we would like you to converse well in English, but Dutch is a requirement for the role.
  • Knowledge of an ERP system is a very big plus.
