Your Challenge

As a Sustainability and Safety Analyst:

  • You support the development of different sustainability strategies, including actionable roadmaps
  • You identify external evolutions to understand and anticipate Carmeuse performance (customer, competitor and economic evolutions)
  • You facilitate the sustainability center of intelligence
  • You support the development and roll-out of the lifesaving procedures
  • You analyze safety information (near misses/safety incidents) and data from the field. You formulate proposals to improve the safety policy and enforcement framework
  • You communicate smoothly and customer-oriented with all stakeholders focusing on a safe environment with 0 harm.

Your Profile

Basic requirements:

  • The position is open to university degree in engineering.

Experiences:

  • Demonstrates good understanding of operational safety/sustainability
  • Has the capability to built up an internal network
  • Experience in similar roles is a benefit
  • No Professional experience required.

The Sustainability & HSE team is a team of expert professionals which like to dive into the details as well as keeping the helicopter view. You are interconnected with every employee of Carmeuse and have the ability to drive real change in the organization. The team is working on both compliance issues - with the current pace of environmental policies being discussed and negotiated, the team is continuously learning and expanding its network - as well as beyond compliance strategies – Carmeuse has a very ambitious CO2 roadmap and sustainability Vision 2030. The team is the center where all the business strategies come together and are working to a better world.

The Recruitment Process

  • Olivia Braszko, our Talent Acquisition Lead will analyze your Résumé and cover letter
  • A first "Teams" interview will be scheduled with Olivia. You will take 2 personality questionnaires. Olivia will want to know more about you, as a person and as a professional. She will assess your motivations and answer to your questions
  • You will have a second interview with Brecht De Roo (Sustainability and HSE Director Europe) and Aurélie Mordant (our HRBP).

This position will be based in the Louvain-La-Neuve (close to Brussels) headquarters of Carmeuse in Belgium.
