The Tax Advisor is responsible to ensure compliance for the different tax (direct and indirect) and statutory requirements for the different entities in Belgium.
Responsibilities :
  • Preparation of statutory account
  • Preparation of corporate income tax declaration (including all formalities), including calculation of prepayments
  • Preparation of VAT returns for different VAT-numbers in Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg
  • Preparation of different statutory reporting (Intrastat, Structure surveys,…)
  • Responsible for tax accounting and IFRS tax reporting
  • Responsible for differences between Belgian Tax and IFRS Tax reporting
  • Provide training to different departments on the different VAT and income tax matters
  • Responsible for a part of the monthly closing for certain P&L lines.
  • Contact person for external audit and tax offices
  • Assist in the monthly financial and business reporting
Requirements & Competenties :
  • Hands-on experience in tax and statutory accounting (preferably in multinational environments)
  • IFRS Knowledge
  • Degree in Accountancy and Tax (master or bachelor)
  • Stress resistant
  • Dutch and English (fluent speaking & writing)
  • Microsoft Office, Excel, SAP is an advantage
  • Work independently
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest changes in tax legislations
  • Bring the tax matters in an understandable way to non-financial colleagues
  • Flexible in terms of time management as well as assigned tasks
