At VWR, part of Avantor, we are currently looking for a Teamleader Life Sciences Procurement EU to join our team in Leuven, Belgium.

Your Responsibilities:

• You lead and manage a high performing team to support the delivery of exceptional service to our customers in the areas of Life Sciences industry.
• You put significant focus on the complex inbound supply chains of Life Science customers.
• You work with local management and central teams support the identification of best practice and new processes across the region.
• You look after the management and development of 2 team members.
• You manage the order placement, expediting and delivery of inbound deliveries from Strategic Supplier into all VWR’s European warehouse locations
• Through the team of 2, you manage the daily operational procurement activities with >60 suppliers with an annual spend of €90m across Europe and the EU business. This includes purchase order placement, resolution of immediate supply issues, vigorous implementation of expediting routines and resolution of invoice prices or quantity differences.
• You drive best practice, standardisation, TDM’s and efficiency gains in the operational processes to improve customer service and reduce costs.
• You work closely with Customer Services, Suppliers, Demand and the Global teams to identify and implement process improvements to improve costs and OTIF performance.
• You follow-up of supplier delivery performance via set KPI’s
• You are responsible for expediting and follow-up of purchase orders with these suppliers to ensure on-time delivery
• You focus on query resolution on goods inwards issues, supplier invoice and acknowledgment
• You ensure all procurement processes are documented and records maintained.

Your Experience, Knowledge and Skills

• You have experience in operational procurement and/or supply chain logistics.
• You have a first experience in people management or are motivated to develop yourself in this area.
• You have good knowledge of MS Office, experience with SAP is a big advantage.
• You speak English and Dutch fluently.
• You can work independently and are self-motivating but also work well in a team.
• You are motivated by improving processes and are solution focused.
