Challenge

In this position of SW Test Lead engineer you will be joining a team of verification experts within the software verification team in Sint-Truiden. This group is responsible for developing (mostly automated) tests for our automatic transmission and hybrid/EV powertrain products.

Job description:

• Your main focus will be to develop the SW Test Plan and execute it, together with the SW Test Team.
• You will technically lead the SW Test Team, with its members working from different locations (Sint-Truiden, India, Romania).
• The SW Test Team will design the test specification, write the test cases, manually execute them, automate the test cases, create the test reports, analyze the results, debug the test environment and keep the track of identified issues in JIRA.
• You will report the SW test status, SW test planning, blocker and risks to different stakeholders, internal or external.
• You will function in an agile team under the lead of the SW Project Leader, reporting directly to the SW Cluster Leader.
• The SW Test Team will mainly use HIL dSpace benches for SW testing.

Profile:

Degree in electrical or software engineering

• Experience of at least 3years with embedded software testing and basic knowledge about electronics are a must.
• Experience in automotive is a must.
• Basic knowledge of Python is a must.
• Knowledge of diagnostic protocols (UDS, XCP, XETK) and on-board diagnostics are a must.
• Familiar with the A2L (ASAM format).
• Familiar with one of the Automotive test tools: CANoe, CANalyzer, vTestStudio, dSpace Automation Desk,ECU-Test etc.
• Experience in Functional Safety (ISO 26262) is considered as a plus.
• ISTQB certification is considered as a plus.
• Knowledge of the Vector tooling is a big plus.
• Knowledge of dSPACE tooling is a big plus.
• Knowledge of Robot Framework is a plus.
• Knowledge and experience in the field of mechanics, hydraulics or system control strategy is a plus.
• You are well organized and like to deliver correct and accurate results.
• Thanks to your strong communication skills and good knowledge of English, you excel at teamwork and are strong in reporting knowledge and results.
• You are an independent, perseverant and systematic worker with a goal-oriented and analytical mindset.
