Team/division Description

The work tasks to be developed will be held Chassis Design division.

Chassis Design Is Responsible For The

• Development of Chassis parts (Brake, Steering, Suspension, Tyre, Shift, Pedals, …) to achieve the highest driving performance and quality at the competitive price.
• Local development of Chassis parts for vehicles built in Toyota’s European assembly plants.
  

This activity is done in close cooperation with local suppliers and Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan.

• Investigation of new European technologies

Your Responsibilities

The main responsibility of the open position for interim is work on the development of Brake Control System / Component to ensure vehicle safety and stability, to fulfil the target vehicle dynamics performance, to enable advanced driving assist systems and to guarantee the standstill control for current mass production vehicles.

Within this responsibility, your main activities will be framed in the development lead of projects with our systems suppliers, ensure project coordination of internal development processes -including mass production quality follow up- and, in addition, monitor and research the market trends for motion control systems and architectures that will enable higher levels of motion control autonomy (ADAS systems and Autonomous Drive).

In the context of this project the successful candidate will perform the following activities:

Support project development of chassis commodities (e.g. ESC unit)

Support technical investigation leading to quality or cost improvements

Summarize the evaluation reports and document the processes

Prepare functional safety status overview for quality and ISO audits

Support field investigations, trouble diagnostics and troubleshooting

Confirm basic functionalities of chassis control features on target vehicles

Propose countermeasure (functionality improvement) for each level-up performance

Coordinate development activities with evaluation team

Research and monitor technology trends for brae control systems, ADAS and AD systems

Profiel

• You are fluent in English (TME business language). Japanese is an asset.
• You have good knowledge/experience of:
  

Chassis systems and Vehicle Dynamics

Project management skills

Requirement management tools and ALMs

Intermediate programming skills (Python, Matlab)

Experience in dynamic systems and vehicle dynamics simulation tools

Familiar with software development process

Familiar with calibration of systems to achieve target performance

Familiar with functional safety processes (ISO26262)

• You have a master in Mechatronics, Electronics, Automotive or Mechanical Engineering with experience on systems control
• It is preferred if you have experience in a similar position in the automotive sector or in an industrial mass production environment
