Your Mission
As a Warehouse Manager, you supervise the Logistics flows inside the plant, specifically the inbound and outbound flows and the internal logistics.
You will ensure the organization in place is meeting the needs of the internal customers in a cost-efficient way.
You report directly to the Supply Chain Manager and are the direct manager of the staff on the shop floor.
Your Responsibilities
  • You manage the shift planning and ensure the right people and skills are available for each shift.
  • You train the staff and make sure enough personnel is properly trained on all the tasks.
  • You coordinate the inbound and outbound activities on the shop floor and take necessary actions to deliver the right products on time.
  • You are responsible for implementing the basics of logistics (stock transfer, inventories, traceability, labeling, pallet/rack management, FIFO, work standard operating procedure, etc.).
  • You animate the 5S activities on the shop floor.
  • You create the visual management tools in your scope of responsibility.
  • You proactively look for productivity gains and minimize the effort and costs of moving stock in and out of the plant.
In addition:
  • You ensure the ERP transactions are accurate. You address potential adjustments, or modifications needs to the respective parties. You, especially, enforce accurate use by the end-users.
  • You take ownership of the improvement activities and facilitate a continuous improvement environment.
  • You lead, empower and support your direct reports.
Your Profile
  • Bachelor Degree in Logistics or similar through education or experience
  • Experience of 2 years in a Production or Logistics environment, preferably in a similar role
  • Dutch, English is a plus
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus
  • Experience in automotive is a plus
Competencies
  • Logistics : work with supervision and provides technical guidance when required on ensuring that production plant, equipment and materials are moved and stored in the best way possible
  • Reporting : apply comprehensive knowledge and skills to work independently on creating relevant and effective reports.
  • Numerical and computer skills : use an understanding of numerical concepts to perform mathematical operations such as report analysis without supervision and provides guidance when required.
  • Risk management : identify, assess, prioritize and manage risks in a production process without supervision and provides technical guidance when required.
  • Storage : work without supervision and provide technical guidance when required on how to optimize the storage of finished goods and/or components.
  • Technical operations support : work without supervision and provide technical guidance when required on identifying and diagnosing operational problems, then developing logistic solutions to resolve those issues.
