The Challenge

As EHS Manager you support our departments in safety, well-being and environment.

You ensure that processes are in place to reach compliance with the Environmental Health & Safety rules and regulation.

You manage the plant by-products and waste output to maximize revenues and minimize plant waste while maintaining compliance with local regulation and company guidelines.

The goal is to execute the legally prescribed tasks of the Environmental Health & Safety Manager TBE Leuven (Brewery Leuven, GHQ, Gitec and Brewery Belle-Vue). You are responsible for the implementation of the Safety Pillar in our Management system and the full ownership of the Safety Pillar and the Environmental Pillar..

The Role
  • Driver of EHS by investigating, consultation of your stakeholders (and managing them) and implementation of actions.
  • Maintaining the EHS policies and standards included in the Safety and the Environmental Pillar: act as a plant leader regarding EHS policies and standards for TBE Leuven.
  • Contact with authorities. Fire prevention. Local EHS crisis management. Liaison with Insurance company. Ensure that all documentation is updated continuously by Zone Brewery Support group.
  • Ensure that activities related to prevention i.e. EHS are taking place: leads in prevention areas. Ensure that risk and hazard analyses for each new process, equipment or material are taking place.
  • Owner of the VPO Safety and Environmental pillar for the brewery of Leuven: ensure drawing up, implementation and continuous improvement of the management systems.
  • Management: leading a team of 3 EHS specialists. Stakeholder management of union delegates, management team and other key persons in the company.
  • Owner of the health and safety budget. Owner of the environmental budget. Owner of the EHS investments.
Who We’re Looking For
  • Master degree or equal by experience.
  • Certificate Health & Safety Manager level I & Certificate Environmental Manager Level A.
  • Knowledge of the regional and national environmental and labor safety regulations.
  • Excelling in stakeholder management.
  • Analytical and critical approach.
  • Leadership capacities and autonomous, structured and well organized.
  • Excellent Dutch and English level
