To support and reinforce our Production & manufacturing team we are looking for a Engineer.Ontex is a worldwide developer and manufacturer of personal hygiene products for baby’s, women and adults. Our highly recognised products are sold in more than 100 countries. We manufacture own brands as well as private label products for our retail customers.To Strengthen Our Engineering Department, We Are Looking For a Motivated (m/f)At Ontex Eeklo, 500 colleagues are responsible for the daily high-tech development and production of sanitary towels, panty liners and baby diapers.EngineerAs an Engineer, you are responsible for the development, optimisation and CAPEX projects related to our 12 high-tech production lines:
  • You manage technical projects from start to finish.
  • You are responsible for the execution and management of technical drawings, designs and documentation.
  • You support R&D changes on a technical level.
  • You are responsible for the calculation of profitability studies.
  • You implement saving strategies.
  • You develop manuals on new or customised installations.
  • You support the other (technical) departments.
  • You develop technical specifications towards suppliers.
  • You are responsible for executing and directing the installation, testing and taking into operation of new facilities and equipment.
  • You prepare budgets, bids, contracts and direct the negotiation of contracts.
  • You review and approve contracts towards external suppliers and cost estimates.
  • You follow up technical developments within the industry.
  • You work closely with the production and R&D department.
  • You report to the Engineering Manager.
We are looking for
  • As a Master Engineering, you can rely on a similar engineering experience within an industrial (electro)mechanical environment.
  • You combine a high interest in new technologies with analytical thinking and being hands-on, you are able to translate vision into action.
  • You have strong communication skills in Dutch and English and you have experience with technical drawings (2D and 3D).
