What will you do as an Eco / Environmental Compliance officer

As an Eco-compliance Officer you are the knowledge center of directives, product legislations and standards within the NIKO Group regarding ecological aspects. In this role you follow up all applicable product legislations and standards via consortia and standardization organisations. You provide trainings on evolutions, initiate the necessary compliance actions within the organisation, follow up the implementations and prepare communication related actions towards supplier’s sustainability programs. You also represent NIKO in several committees.

Within the eco-compliance domain, you are responsible for:

  • Eco-design implementing measures
  • Restriction of hazardous substances in products
  • Reach product obligations / SCIP notifications
  • Circular economy aspects / Environmental product declarations
  • Waste compliance
  • 3rd party Eco-Compliance labels

Place in the organisation:

You work within the marketing department in close cooperation with R&D, Procurement and Quality and report to the Standardization Manager.

Who are we looking for?

  • Technical Master or Bachelor degree in electro mechanics, electronic or energy with a strong affinity for environmental aspects.
  • As a teamplayer, you have the ability to inspire all stakeholders
  • You have very strong administrative skills with an eye for detail
  • Excellent oral and written skills in Dutch and English
  • Dedicated to become the knowledge center of sustainability legislation, standards and/or references
