What are your tasks?

As an Area Construction Lead, you provide support and report to the Construction Manager in the day-to-day management of the site. You spend 80% of your time in the field.

  • You oversee project activities as required by the Construction Manager such as site preparation, construction and closeout and make efforts to ensure that areas are allocated in accordance with the schedule
  • Coordinate with key contractors during construction to ensure that design requirements are met
  • You have knowledge of construction and environmental best practices
  • You manage the most important subcontractors and help build a strong culture around HSE and environmental awareness
  • You monitor compliance with permit and project requirements
  • You monitor the construction schedules and advise the construction manager about possible bottlenecks with potential mitigation’s
  • You check the work of the subcontractor
  • You coordinate site access and work activities with other disciplines to support integrated project planning
  • You work with the logistics team to ensure material deliveries
  • You solve technical related questions
  • You set a good example in terms of quality, safety and the environment

What skills do you bring?

For this vacancy we are looking for a candidate who has a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, technical direction or equivalent through experience.

  • You have at least 10 years of civil / construction experience
  • You have knowledge of current construction standards and best practices
  • You can easily get along with the MS-Office package
  • You are fluent in English
