As Business Analyst, you will represent the business in a wide range of projects.
You will make sure that business-critical requirements, together with user requirements are documented through specifications and translated into an application solution in collaboration with the functional analyst for your domain & the implementation partner.
What are the main tasks of a Business Analyst?
- List all requirements from the business;
- A critical review of processes & suggest improvements. The improvements/changes are in line with the harmonization & standardization goals within the different projects in the Group;
- Participates in blueprinting workshops;
- Stakeholder management in order to capture needed information & to maintain transparency in project progress & process improvement progress;
- Analyses of complex questions & requirements and translation of those into efficient solutions within SAP in collaboration with the functional analyst;
- Document took decisions & provide the proper sign off by the involved stakeholders;
- Signal risks and issues & provide the project management with possible mitigations;
- Plan all the activities to be executed within the domain, supported by the group PMO;
- Determine test scenario’s to check the business compliancy of the system;
- Participate in making sure the system is properly tested and the Local Key Users are trained (train the trainer principle);
- Ensure proper adoption of the new system by the end-users, in close collaboration with the business & project management;
- Strongly collaborate with the SAP Functional Analyst responsible for the modules used for Planning (PP/DS, possibly IBP, …).
What are the needed competencies?
- As the Business Analyst will be in constant contact with a huge range of people within the organization, communication skills are crucial;
- Analytical, in order to be able to quickly see improvements and simplifications within process designs. The business analyst should be able to quickly interpret processes and data streams in order to properly translate this into useful information & clear requirements;
- Advise the business in decision making. A business analyst should be able to thoroughly argue this towards stakeholders & decision-makers;
- Adaptation – as a business analyst you should be able to quickly adapt based on changes within the business as this is moving constantly because of the strong ambitions of the Group;
- Able to document business changes & create business cases with the connected ROI calculations;
- Knowledge of S&OP is required;
- Strong knowledge of SAP PP/DS or other scheduling solutions connected with SAP desired;
- Possible SAP IBP or other connected planning solutions (e.g. Anaplan) is an absolute plus;
- At least 5 years experience in a business analyst or similar role with possibly a production planning experience as a planner. (Master Planning, Production Planning/Scheduling);
- Experience within an S4Hana implementation is a plus.
