Job Description

What will you do in the role of Business Development Manager?

Business generation:

  • You research the market and gather information
  • You draw up a concrete action plan in function of the commercial objectives
  • You contact new customers and prospects in a proactive and planned way with a value proposition
  • You go on customer visits, give presentations and participate in networking events
  • You follow up the Pipeline and Forecast monthly
  • You use Salesforce as CRM for all reporting and accounts


Account management:

  • You evaluate the services provided to existing customers and build strategic partnerships
  • You closely monitor the quality delivered to the customer, investigate any problems and ensures a quick resolution or escalation
  • You prepare match reports (alignment of quotation with actual delivered packages) and analyzes them in detail.
  • You negotiate, renew and close agreements
  • You (co-)develop and integrate new products with customers
  • You analyze the context of major customers and market trends in general

The Successful Applicant

  • You obtained a Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business administration or equivalent through experience
  • You have 3-5 years of experience in a similar sales position in B2C and/or B2B
  • Knowledge of the food sector is a big plus. Passion for food is mandatory
  • You can express yourself fluently in Dutch and English. French is a plus
  • You are communicatively strong, networking is your second nature
  • A growth story appeals to you: you immediately want to fly with it
