Business Line Manager EMEA

Reporting to the Business Line Director, this position works in a cross-functional team, developing and executing strategies to reach the business objectives for the GEP (General Engineering Plastics) Business Lines in EMEA. You will be responsible for ensuring increased business success, with a specific focus on development of the business strategy required for future sustainable success. Embracing a transformational change in the business model and cultural mindset, you will encourage and engage others, embedding a global approach and driving business excellence through all our markets.


Main/key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Manages product portfolio within the GEP Business Line
  • Lead the GEP Business Team (and cross-functional monthly meetings)
  • Collaborates and matrix approval of CAPEX spending and asset maintenance
  • Defines product value proposition and develops product innovation roadmap
  • Coordinates product pricing within the region
  • Set product prices/pricing floors within your region in conjunction with sales organization
  • Coordinates sharing of best practices between different regions and across business lines
  • Defines service requirements, quantity controls and quality of inventory
  • Monitors market development in terms of new product introduction and regulatory requirements
  • Lead KPIs: NPIs and profitability of Business Line products and strategic positioning and costing

Skills and experience:

  • Good understanding of engineering plastics and the key markets where they are used
  • Proven experience working in cross-functional teams which can include sales, application development, technology/R&D, supply chain operations, S&OP and finance
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Sales, Business, Marketing, Engineering, Materials, or related field
  • Highly effective influencer at all levels of the organization
  • Strong ability to balance multiple important projects simultaneously and lead them to successful outcomes in a timely manner
  • Strategic thinker with experience in defining, implementing and managing product portfolio and management strategies in a global company
  • Strong change management experience and skilled at supporting and guiding teams through change transformation
