Job Summary/Introduction

In this role you deliver performance to the Category Strategy Manager and Sweden as part of the Global Indirect Service organization. Your services are part of a team that enables the factory in Puurs (Belgium) and other sites to deliver projects in a qualitative and timely manner.


Detailed Job Description

  • As a Strategic Procurement Capital Contracted Specialist you lead capital sourcing projects others in the network.
  • You create and implement purchasing strategies for a wide range of complex capital-related projects. The service includes purchasing activities in all kinds of Engineering activities, production and packaging equipment, construction works and capital service activities.
  • You work with suppliers and internal partners, such as Global and Local Engineering, to create maximum value and reduce risk.
  • You manage long-term relationships with your suppliers and develop mechanisms to hold suppliers accountable for their performance and deliveries.
  • In addition, you ensure cost savings through competitive bidding, conducting negotiations and analysing market trends for the categories under your responsibility.
  • You develop and improve the relationship of procurement with internal customers in order to proactively identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement or to reduce risks and costs.
  • You will collaborate with the global Category Strategy Manager (CSM) in the development of category strategies. You are responsible for the timely implementation of those strategies by leading and participating in cross-functional teams.


Candidate’s Profile

* Economic university degree or bachelor degree with relevant first capital procurement experience (minimum 3 years)

* Action oriented and problem solver
* Significant stress resistance
* Strong negotiator / Commercial sense
* Good communicator and net-worker
* Contract management / legal knowledge
* Able to work as an individual and contribute effectively with your performance as part of a team
* Fluent in Dutch & English (oral and written)

Nice to have

  • SAP/Ariba experience is a plus
  • Experience in a similar position
  • Experience in a GMP environment
