With fast growing activities they have actually a full time position, located in Tessenderlo, for a Category Buyer MRO/Projects (m/f/x).

Job content

As a Category Buyer you are responsible for sourcing and procuring goods and services for MRO materials and projects for 2 plants located in Tessenderlo and Beringen. You are responsible for the development, implementation and management of sourcing strategies for the category taking into account internal and external policies and laws ensuring best price/condition.You manages supplier relationships to build a strong network with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.

Your key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage performance of sourcing strategy to meet business goals and objectives.
• Managing supplier relationships, performing root cause analysis and resolutions, developing and monitoring supplier improvement plans.
• Perform tasks within framework of rules and regulations.
• Promotes a safe work environment.
• Ensures the procurement of goods and services according to TCO ‘Total Cost of Ownership’.
• Negotiates prices independently and provides technical support to the organization.
• Uses excellent communication skills in working with key stakeholders.
• Ensure the continuous supply of goods and services, and communicates any supply problems which may impact business operations.

Profile

• Master Industrial Engineering or equal through experience.
• At least 3 to 6 years of experience in the chemical or petrochemical industry.
• Proven purchasing experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical knowledge.
• Strong and effective decision-making capabilities and commercial sense.
• You are a team player and have highly effective collaboration skills.
• Experience with Ariba and PowerBI is an asset.
• Thorough knowledge of MS office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English. Any other language is a plus.
• Result-driven, customer focused, proactive, problem solver.
