Description

  • You will manage and direct the progress of claims files in Professional Liability (primarily), Broadcasting and Directors’ Liability;
  • You examine the files and study the liability issues;
  • You communicate about the charging of the claim and motivate your decision towards each of the parties involved (the insured, the other party and/or their lawyer);
  • In the event of legal proceedings, you will be responsible for liaising with our client’s lawyers and for monitoring files;
  • You ensure the evaluation of the reserves and the settlement of the claims;
  • You will handle files in both Dutch and French;
  • You will provide legal assistance to the Secretary General (legal research, editorial contributions, etc.).

Your profile

  • You are in possession of a licentiate or master’s degree in law ;
  • You have a very good knowledge of insurance law and at least three years of experience at the bar or in an insurance company;
  • You are very well bilingual Dutch/French or French/Dutch. You handle files and you are not afraid to give a presentation in public in both languages;
  • You show diplomacy to conduct negotiations in a calm atmosphere;
  • You have an analytical mind and your work is always rigorous, result-oriented and organized;
  • You are a team player while working independently and proactively.
