The Pfizer Clinical Research Unit (PCRU) in Brussels (Anderlecht) is a state-of-the-art research facility with sixty inpatient beds dedicated to early clinical trials (Phase 1 & 2a studies). Working at the PCRU means that you will contribute to the development of medicines and vaccines that bring real benefit to patients. You will be an actor in the challenges that the world is facing, in full compliance with quality and safety standards. The PCRU is working closely with different departments at Pfizer and collaborates with other research units based in the USA.
The PCRU is hiring 5 full-time Clinical Research Nurses.
The Position
- Responsible for ensuring clinical trials are conducted in accordance with scientific, medical, and ethical principles, within regulatory requirements/guidelines, and Pfizer SOPs
- Responsible for volunteer/patient safety
- Executes and is responsible for the accurate data and sample collection according to protocol requirements and for documentation of electronic and written data
- Responsible for self-check on data collected during daily activities
- Executes and is responsible for multiple study activities including nursing assessment of physiologic response to drug administration, administration of study medications, cardiac monitoring, basic nursing care and emergency interventions
- This is an individual contributor role.
- Location : Anderlecht, Belgium. This position is not eligible for relocation.
- Education: Bachelor degree in Nursing
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year general medical-surgical nursing experience including competency in phlebotomy/venipuncture techniques, and performing electrocardiograms is highly recommended.
- Clinical skills: nursing and emergency interventions are appropriate, immediate, and demonstrate excellent assessment skills and standard of care.
- Computer skills: Working knowledge of computers and laboratory data handling acquisition systems and associated issues/risks
- Team work : Able to work effectively in multifunctional, interdepartmental management teams.
- Shift work : available to work in various shifts (weekends/evenings/nights)
- Languages: English and French are mandatory, Dutch is preferred
