Then we have the perfect role for you. For our Marketing & Sales Department, we are looking for an ambitious full-time Commercial Business Intelligence Associate
About The Role
The Commercial Business Intelligence Associate is a newly created back-office position that will be part of the Commercial Planning team within JTI BeLux.
Your role will focus on getting all the relevant data to get the clearest picture of all aspects of JTI’s Route to Market(RTM), going from Wholesalers, Cash&Carrys and Retail (independent & Key account).
You will be responsible for the support of internal stakeholders (mainly Sales pillars, e.g. Key account, Field Force, and Trade Activation teams) to extract key insights from numerous retail data sources that you will have received, prepared, and consolidated carefully.
What Will You Do- Responsibilities
Business understanding
- Develop on a global Route to Market business understanding through trade visits and interaction with the whole organization, to ensure a proper understanding of data and requests
- On top of the collaboration with the Sales pillars, develop close cooperation with other internal analytical stakeholders (e.g. Strategic Insights, Information Systems)
- Handle communication and manage both external data providers and the external data processing agency to guarantee qualitative (identify issues and get them corrected) & timely deliveries from all of them
- Collect and transform/handle data from different sources and in different formats across BeLux
- Maintain, develop information databases and upload data into management tools such as CRM, Power BI, and other management report systems
- Ensure all-time data accuracy and pragmatism
- Create BI reports and other tools to visualize data efficiently
- Track & analyze store activities performances vs set KPI’s
- Leverage trade, market, and consumer data (by regions, channels, brand, etc.) in order to identify business opportunities
- Ensure clarity and consistency of outcomes
- Identify RTM opportunities to increase JTI’s efficiency
- Support, empower, and facilitate the sales teams in designing effective business plans to achieve the company’s objectives
- Be both able to extract business insights from BI reports but also able to educate/facilitate reports’ end users to do so accurately themselves
- Relevant Education (Business degree, etc.) and/or relevant work experience ensuring a fast onboarding
- Strong skills in data consolidation, cleaning, and Power BI report creation (accurate & accessible to stakeholders)
- Working on FMCG RTM challenges would be a plus
- Computer skills Advanced MS Office
- Fluent English, knowledge of Dutch or French would be a plus
- Have an analytical mind with genuine business curiosity
- Can spot inconsistencies in the blink of an eye
- Are capable of creating impactful visuals
- Are not simply data cruncher but are also able to translate numbers into stories that make sense for the stakeholders
- Prefer to teach people how to fish (=make the most of your tools) rather than just handing them fish daily (=data or reports)
- Always respect deadlines & commitments
- Are willing to seize any potential optimizations across processes and files
