Within theinternal audit team of our Risk Advisory practice in Zaventemwe are currently looking for a Consultant Internal Control Advisory & Assurance.

Your journey with us

• Analyze client’s business processes, identify the associated business/technology risks and come up with action plans to mitigate these risks and to bring the business back in control;
• Implement / Assess internal controls and identify opportunities for internal control improvement.
• Work together with the client to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the internal control environment;
• Execute challenging and diversified assurance & advisory projects at large (e.g. Bel20) companies, as well as SME’s. You will be working in different industries and/or countries and become acquainted with different sectors and (inter)national working environments;
• Perform in-depth assurance assessments and related advisory to provide ISAE 3000, 3402, SSAE18, Internal Controls over Financial Reporting or equivalent attestation reports or similar, mainly covering business processes, for our clients together with your team.
• Draft audit/assurance reports and present audit results at Board level (Audit Committee);
• Providing advice together with your team to senior client staff (CxO, Senior Risk/Security officers …) on topics such as risk, audit, continuity, governance, quality, sourcing, analytics, and more. Your goal is to enhance our client’s business value and effectiveness.
• Drive the use of technology and data analytics within Deloitte’s Internal Audit and Assurance activities
• Participate in the career and performance development of new junior consultants/auditors by supervising their work, providing them with timely and specific performance feedback or serving as their career counselor; and
• If you are open to it, you will be able to participate in business development tasks allowing you to further grow your personal & commercial skills.

Let’s talk about you

• Your experience in risk and advisory projects is a plus;
• You have a strong academic background. Certifications such as COBIT, ITIL, CISA, Prince2, CIA, etc. are a plus but not mandatory;
• You have experience in testing controls in accordance with ISAE3402/SSAE18, (J-)SOX or other types of Internal Control/ Financial Reporting testing;
• You have a critical and analytical mindset and possess the ability to tackle problems systematically to determine causes and produce effective solutions;
• You are eager to learn new business insights and explore different company cultures;
• You can work independently and can handle multiple projects with tight timelines simultaneously;
• Your approach is client and result oriented and you have excellent social, communication and presentation skills;
• You have affinity with and are willing to further explore the newest trends and tools related to data analytics and data visualization;
• You are a fluent communicator in English and in either Dutch or French, other languages are considered as a plus;
• You have excellent written and oral communication skills in English; and are fluent in either Dutch or French (both are a plus but not mandatory);
• You obtained a master degree in economics, engineering or have an equivalent qualification; and
• Willingness to work abroad for short or long term assignments is a plus;
• Your experience in internal / external audit or Internal Control / Risk Management is a plus;
• You have strong interpersonal skills and are able to deliver top quality service to clients. You are able to build an in-depth knowledge of the client’s business and stay up-to-date on industry activities, marketplace trends, innovation efforts, and leading practices.
