  • key responsibilities

    Job summary:

    This position is primarily accountable for managing and supporting the Supply Chain activities for several countries and ensuring continuity of supplies to the End Customer. This will involve close collaboration with multiple internal stakeholders (e.g., Global Planning, Global Logistics, Quality, Commercial teams, Regulatory) and external stakeholders (e.g., Pharmacies, 3PLs, Wholesalers). The role is also accountable for achieving and meeting service level targets set by Global and Affiliate supply chains through the management of its key responsibilities.

    Key Responsibilities include:

    • Ensure forecasting excellence including organization of regular demand review meetings requiring close collaboration and swift communication with the Commercial teams and Global Master Planning team. Adherence to global process rules for Consensus Demand Planning and close collaboration with partners.

    • Improve sales forecast accuracy by integrating multiple data sources in the model, like promotions, seasonality, stock out, price changes, new medicines indications, promotions and other Sales force information, etc.

    • Prepare demand and supply chain data for SI&OP meetings.

    • Manage and analyze supply chain replenishment plans to identify potential out of stock risks as well as safety stock risks. Escalate as necessary.

    • Manage supply chain related reports e.g. month-end closing, packaging declarations, Supply Chain Optimization.

    • Serve as function Local Key User for the company’s SAP4 work processes.

    • Close co-operation and engagement with the Global Logistics team ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to Country 3PLs.

    • Inventory Management – ensure safety stock levels are maintained in accordance with agreed service levels and local regulation. Reconcile monthly inventories, identify inventory risk and proactively reduce inventory scrap when possible.

    • Be responsible for accurate Master Data Management.

    • Frequently monitor the performance of local 3PLs.

    • Reporting and KPI Reporting - Performance associated with these responsibilities is primarily reflected in key metrics for product availability, sales, back-orders, forecast accuracy, inventory level, and ‘cost-to-serve’, as well as on-time delivery of Supply Chain project objectives.

    • Support product launch readiness.

    • Partake and support monthly and quarterly 3PL business review meetings.

    • Support internal and external audits (Quality and Finance related).

    • Back-up for sample and SOS order management.

    • Partake in Supply Chain Projects as required.

    Competencies

    • Effective Operational Planning, Process management and Organizational skills. Must have the ability to balance multiple priorities, provide direction and prioritization to internal and external stakeholders, while ensuring Patient and Customer priority is maintained at all times.

    • Requires excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in Flemish and French. Must possess good spoken and written English skills.

    • The ideal candidate will have an analytic and hands on approach, be results and solution orientated, self-motivated and be comfortable working as part of a global team.

    Education and Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or above
    • 1-3 years supply chain experience an advantage
    • Proficient in Microsoft Windows (particularly excel and powerpoint). SAP experience an advantage.
