Challenge Airlines (BE) S.A. is an airline based in Liege Airport (LGG) with a Belgian AOC. The airline operates daily scheduled cargo flights and charter services carrying nonstandard goods and general cargo internationally. Job Purpose
The Denied Party Screening Compliance Agent ensures compliance with the World Customs Organization (WCO) SAFE Framework of Standards to Secure and Facilitate Global Trade and related customs or AVSEC requirements; by checking shipments data in the ERP system (Priority).
The agent will use various IT & analytics tools to verify compliance, provide feedback and resolve non-compliance issues with the relevant operational entities within our organization.
This role is critical to our successful cargo operations, ensuring compliance with international laws, rules & regulations.
Your responsibilities
- Screening and Feedback
Use a dedicated platform to screen all shipment parties (e.g., shippers, consignees)
Review and analyze flagged results and assess if they are valid based on regulatory requirements
Share feedback with teams and document decisions on flagged shipments
- Compliance and Risk
Ensure that all flagged shipments are resolved in compliance with international and domestic trade regulations
Escalate serious cases to the Compliance Manager or Legal advisor for further investigation
Stay updated on changes to restricted/denied party lists and embargo regulations
- Operational Coordination
Work with internal teams to collect shipment details
Contact clients or partners to clarify or confirm flagged information
- Reporting and Documentation
Keep clear records of screenings and resolutions using the platform
Create reports and highlight potential risks or recurring issues
Help improve workflows and procedures
- Training and Support
Train team members and sharing professional insights
Offer support and guidance to internal teams about the DPS process
Your profile
- Certification in trade compliance (e.g., Certified Customs Specialist (CCS), Export Compliance Professional (ECoP), or equivalent) is preferred but not required
- Experience in air freight logistics, trade compliance, or related fields (minimum 2 years)
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills to assess flagged results
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to provide (English) clear feedback within the Network and stations
- Knowledge of international trade regulations, embargoes, and denied/restricted party lists
- Proficiency in using compliance or screening platforms (experience with ERP systems such as Priority is highly preferred)
