Barco Healthcare’s R&D team is looking for an embedded software engineer to help our team design and develop new displays for the medical display market.You will be part of a large international R&D team with colleagues in Italy and China. The displays are intended for Radiology, Modality and Surgical applications and need to comply with medical standards. This position is situated in the Barco Healthcare division in Kortrijk and involves the development of embedded software for medical displays. We are looking for self-directed, collaborative, and flexible candidates that are willing to work and travel internationally.

Your skills and experience:

  • C/C++ (OO), ARM processors and equivalent
  • Embedded Linux
  • Automated building and testing (CI/CD)
  • Configuration management (Git)
  • Agile development, using Kanban
  • Problem solver, taking intiative, taking responsibility
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Additional:
  • Digital video interfaces (DisplayPort, HDMI, SDI), and USB, Ethernet
  • Knowledge of digital and analog electronics
  • Knowledge of IEC 62304 or medical standards
