Tasks and Qualifications:

Within our R&D testing team we are looking for an Embedded Software Test Engineer.

Core Responsibilities:

  • You are part of a team and you check your vehicles within our development test facility in accordance with specific test procedures (adjusting settings, sensors, speed, tuning engines, and much more).

  • You also run safety tests, and you do the final reporting.

  • You are specifically developing Software and Hardware test benches. It means:

    • Writing test bench requirements

    • Contact suppliers and purchase equipment

    • Programming test sequences

    • Automating the report

  • In the view to optimize testing procedure, you are exploring new technologies and simulation tools for testing Software and Hardware.

  • You will collaborate closely with Testing engineers, software and mechatronic development engineers.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support the yearly budget creation

  • Join coordination meeting with developers, product owners and project leaders.

Basic Qualifications and skills:

  • You are very familiar with electrical diagrams.

  • You preferably hold a technical degree within the field of electricity/automation/electromechanics (Master)

  • You have in between 5 to 10 years’ experience in testing Software or Hardware

  • You are interested new technology and automation of tasks

  • You accept responsibility.

  • You communicate openly.

  • You have an excellent knowledge of English. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus

Travel Requirements:

  • Business trip at suppliers

  • Visit to other KION Mobile Automation R&D centers to align on best practices
