For this multinational company, we are looking for a multilingual and experienced financial controller.

You will join a financial department composed of 10 experienced professionals in a company of around 200 employees.

This is a challenging role for an ambitious candidate who aims at further career development. The role’s scope is broad: financial analysis, support to the accounting department, tax returns, specific projects..

This job is based in Zaventem.

Financial Controller – The Job

  • Compile and analyze profit and loss statements, financial reports (per department & profit center)
  • Coordinate with external consultants to prepare and deposit the company’s annual accounts & tax returns
  • Establish monthly and yearly budgets, track and explain potential variances
  • Help in the preparation and deposit of the monthly VAT returns
  • Help in the improvement of existing financial procedures
  • Use financial data in order to influence the company’s short and long term financial strategy
  • Perform regular reporting to the company’s top management in Belgium and at HQ

Financial Controller – About You

  • You have obtained a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics or equivalent, a Master’s degree in a relevant field is a plus
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English
  • You have at least 10 years’ experience in a similar role, in an international environment
  • Experience with US GAAP is a major advantage
