ASCO, a privately owned and independent Belgian company, began operations as a private subcontractor in 1954.
Today ASCO Group is engaged in a broad range of development, engineering, manufacturing and assembly activities providing multidisciplinary subcontracting services to various markets and aerospace programs around the world.
Asco operates from several locations, Belgium, Canada, Germany and USA, and a turnover exceeding 200 million euros.
Asco produces over 2,500 assemblies every month and has the ambition to be a world leader in design and manufacture of high lift devices, complex mechanical assemblies and major functional components for the aerospace industry.

The Group Controller* will be working out of our Belgium office, and reports to the Global Finance Director of Asco group and has leadership responsibilities:

  • The Belgian controlling team (3 direct reports).
  • The German, US and Canadian finance teams (5 FTE’s of which 1 direct reports)

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : *

  • Drive business controlling to deliver financial performance at group level
  • Responsible for business partnering
  • Lead P&L and cash flow improvements initiatives
  • Follow up of strategies implementation
  • Identify deviations to objectives and propose countermeasures
  • Support and influence Capex and bidding processes
  • Responsible for monthly group management reporting and associated analysis

Drive all group financial planning processes (Budget, Forecast and Medium Term Plan) :

  • Lead processes across the group respecting timelines and other constraints
  • Challenge organization
  • Advice and support executive committee decision making
  • Prepare and give presentations to leadership team and Executive Committee

Coach and develop controlling team

Support local financial compliance

  • Ensure compliance with local statutory audit requirements and IFRS in Germany, USA and Canada
  • Support IFRS conversion project
  • Support internal control improvements

Overall support to the activities of the Finance Director.

Profile : *
Education :Master or equivalent by experience
Languages : fluent in English and Dutch and/or French and a good command of the other language
Skills / Experience :

  • 10-15 years’ experience in controlling in complex manufacturing environment
  • Leadership skills
  • Communication and influential skills
  • Excel proficiency (Cognos TM1 is a plus)
