A Head of Human Resources is responsible for providing first-class employee relations services to the hotel to deliver an excellent staff experience while assisting with Human Resources strategy and managing succession planning.What will I be doing?As a Head of Human resources you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:- Provide and deliver first-class employee relation services to the hotel
- Manage the execution of the HR strategy and the core areas of the HR department including Employee relations, Recruitment, Employee engagement, Payroll, Reward and Recognition, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Well-being of employees, HR budget and HR systems
- Take a leading role in strengthening the organizational culture, ensuring that the company values and approach are displayed
- Manage succession planning with other managers during the bi-annual appraisal process to retain and develop talent
- Implement training and development strategies to continuously improve performance and customer service
- Manage employee relations issues in the hotel in a confidential manner, including disciplinaries and grievances
- Support managers to ensure success of their teams
- Assist and resolve team member and management queries
- Ensure completion of management reports for head office and regionals
- Control costs when possible and assist in meeting hotel/departmental financial targets
- Ensure pay reviews/absence monitoring/wage queries are managed in line with company guidelines
- Ensure completion of training for hotel security, fire regulations and other health and safety legislation
- Work with local organisations and schools to promote the hospitality industry
- Maintain formal and informal contacts with external organisations f.e. trade union in order to build up a long-term relationship
- Previous HR managerial experience and positive attitude
- Good knowledge of employment regulations
- The confidence to provide sound professional advice
- Excellent leadership skills and exceptional communication and people skills
- Committed to delivering a high level of customer service, both internally and externally
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work on their own or in teams
- Knowledge of hospitality industry
- IT proficiency
- Dutch &nd English, French is an asset
