Globachem helps farmers and horticulturists keep their crops healthy through an extensive range of out-of-patent and internally developed plant protection products. A challenging job content

  • As a member of the management team, you are jointly responsible for outlining and realising the company’s growth strategy. You translate this vision into a Sales & Marketing strategy and make it concrete in critical success factors, objectives, actions, budget plans and projects, whereby you watch over the margins of our product portfolio.
  • You play a key role in the development and realisation of both the short-term budgets and targets, as well as for the 5- and 10-year sales and marketing plan.
  • You are responsible for our distribution strategy and for building and managing strong relationships with existing and new customers, while monitoring sales trends in the various regions, together with the account managers.
  • Depending on our growth in regions and new products, you expand the S&M department efficiently and in a future-oriented way.
  • From a marketing perspective, you are closely involved in portfolio management; you support the project teams; you keep a helicopter view and you analyse the market and actively look for new opportunities, both for market expansion and for new product developments. In doing so, you keep in touch with influencers in order to anticipate new trends.
  • You inspire and coach your team of 8 professionals (mainly account managers and crop managers) and bring them to a higher level.
  • You work closely together with other departments (R&D, Product Development, Registrations, Supply Chain,...) for the launch of new products and new applications in existing and new markets.
  • You think cross-functionally and -departmentally and take initiatives that contribute to the optimization of business processes and digitalization in the field of sales and marketing, but also in other areas with a view to growth, margin control and increasing customer satisfaction.
  • Together with the pricing manager, you work out the pricing and margin strategy.
  • You report directly to the owners-directors

Key Skills and qualifications

  • You have a Master’s degree in Bio Engineering or equivalent and can look back on a solid experience in Sales & Marketing in an international business context. You are interested in agriculture and horticulture and you have a broad technical knowledge of crop protection.
  • You combine a strategic vision with attention for and interest in the operational business.
  • You have excellent commercial skills to propose solutions for the sector. You like to develop partnerships and you can convince and take decisions.
  • You are proactive and dynamic, with a “go for it” mentality. You work in a structured way, have an entrepreneurial spirit and you are pragmatic, flexible and hands-on.
  • You are an inspiring people manager and networker and you use your strong interpersonal skills to professionalize and inspire your team. You communicate in a connecting way in Dutch, French and English (German and other languages are a plus).
