Make your mark as HR Business Partner for Boskalis Offshore Energy. You are responsible for executing and monitoring HR policies for our Fleet Management department which is located in Papendrecht and Antwerp. Also, you take on HR responsibility for SHEQ, one of our Offshore Energy staff groups.

In the position of HR Business Partner you add value for your stakeholders. You determine and advise on the HR topics and priorities. Furthermore, you initiate, organize and execute HR processes or further professionalize these. A hands-on mentality is key, you do not hesitate to take part in all operational HR related tasks you encounter such as job interviews, job offers, and exit interviews.

Your responsibilities:

  • You initiate and implement HR strategies such as growth and succession planning, talent management within the business units you support.
  • For our Antwerp organization you are responsible for redefining and simplifying the HR process.
  • You are involved in various HR projects, such as our performance review method and internal mobility.
  • You take part in the hiring process of new employees and are responsible for the exit interviews.
  • You collaborate effectively with the (Offshore Energy) HR team to steer and contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and services needed to realize the common strategies and goals.

Your qualities

You can make your mark as HR Business Partner if you have:

  • At least 8 years’ relevant work experience as an HR Business partner or HR Advisor.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HRM, Business Administration or similar.
  • Experience with working in an international technical environment, preferably in a maritime or contracting organization with a hands-on mentality.
  • Full understanding of the Belgian laws and regulations.
  • No problem with travelling between Antwerp and Papendrecht on a regular basis.
  • A good command of written and spoken English and Dutch.

Extra information

  • Your team: As HR Business Partner you are part of the Offshore Energy HR team, which consists of 16 HR professionals. A wide variety of people with extensive HR experience and in-depth knowledge of the Boskalis organization, located in Papendrecht, Antwerp, Aberdeen and Shanghai. Next to that you are in close contact with your stakeholders in the Fleet Management department, partly located in Antwerp, and our SHEQ department. Working partly in Antwerp also means working closely together with Antwerp office leadership. At group level, Boskalis has several expertise centers that support you in specific HR fields such as Compensation & Benefits, Recruitment and Learning & Development.
  • Where you will work: You are based at our campus in Papendrecht as well as our office in Antwerp. You will be present in Antwerp 2 days a week and the rest of the week in Papendrecht. It is possible to work from home once a week.
  • The position of HR Business Partner is a full-time job (40 hours a week). However, part-time (32 hours) is negotiable.
