For one of our clients, an engineering company based in the North of Brussels, we are looking for a self-employed Interim Accounting Manager for an assignment of minimum 6 months.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day activities of Belgium entitys accounting department including Branches
  • Improve team’s efficiency and productivity through reorganization and / or process improvement
  • Supervise and coordinate accounting teams activities (Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), General Ledger (G/L)
  • Analyse balance sheet accounts on a regular basis
  • Internal control and statutory compliance
  • Ensure book compliance with BGAAP and IFRS accounting standards
  • Timely execution of monthly/ quarterly/annual closings and reporting cycles
  • Tax administration (VAT, corporate tax etc.)
  • Responsible for the preparation of financial and tax audits of the Belgian entity
  • Preparation of annual accounts and quarterly and/or annual reporting to the Works Council

Profile:

The Interim Manager has a sound experience as Accounting Manager in an international environment. He/She has strong leadership and people management skills. He/She has strong technical skills (IFRS-BE Gaap). He/She is able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. He/She is able to multitask. He/She has eye for details and is well organized and structured.

He/She is fluent in English and Dutch, French is a plus. He/She is IT minded, an experience on S4H is a plus.

The Interim Manager is self-employed and immediately available for an assignment of minimum 6 months.
