Our client is looking for a strong hands-on developer to support and maintain our current application landscape. You will be responsible for the technical side of the financial closing processes managed on the legacy Java landscape.

Responsibilities and experience:

  • You will be a member of the Customer Centre of Expertise (CCOE) team, responsible for maintaining and improving the application landscape of the organization.
  • You have coding kills and at least 3 years of proven experience with Java, backend or frontend development.
  • You will mainly resolve application incidents and problems through bug fixes in order to obtain the necessary quality standard.
  • Guidance of the monthly closing process in the legacy systems.
  • You will work closely with the business departments to manage these closing process in the group and help to meet their needs.
  • You enjoy collaborating with others and have good communication skills

Further optional technical qualifications, knowledge and experience:

  • JS and typescript, Angular JS, Spring Boot, REST services
  • Behaviour driven design using Cucumber and Gherkin DSL
  • Docker container technology and infrastructure automation experience using tools such as Ansible, Chef or Puppet
  • Git and Jenkins pipelines, or other continuous integration tools
  • Application and HTTP servers, like Nginx or Tomcat

Experience in the insurance sector is mandatory.
