Located at the Novalis Science Park in Marche-en-Famenne, Belgium, ATB Therapeutics’ dedicated team is developing a novel class of cancer treatment and growing fast. To help facilitate this growth, we are looking for a Lab Technician, strengthening our team to advance our mission to deliver transformative therapies to patients worldwide.

Your role

In this role you will be part of the R&D department. This is wat you will be working on:

• Support the development of our innovative technology platform
• Develop and apply methods for candidate screening and biochemical properties characterisation
• You will use a variety of technologies: plant culture, cell culture, molecular biology, recombinant protein production and chromatography purification, analytical methods as ELISA, SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, enzymatic assays
• Execute manipulations and complete lab procedures according to good documentation practices
• Generate data together with scientific members of the project team
• Laboratory support (such as media preparation, equipment maintenance, environmental monitoring, stock management and cleaning)
• Be responsible for laboratory orderliness to ensure safety within the premises
• Prepare samples intended for inhouse and outside analysis, ensuring proper storage recording and samples management
• Write technical documents such as protocols, reports, and operating procedures within the Quality Management System
• Review technical documents for accuracy and thoroughness
• Propose solutions and participate in investigations whenever needed

Requirements

For a successful fulfilment of this position, we are interested in candidates meeting the following requirements:

• Technician experience or bachelor’s in biotechnology, biology or equivalent
• Over 5 years of industrial experience
• Demonstrated practical experience in cell culture (cancer cell lines, PBMCs) and cell-based assays
• Demonstrated experience in purification of proteins and characterization, such as antibodies
• Experience in plant culturing is a plus
• Well-organized, precise and reliable. The selected candidate will be able to independently execute multiple experiments in a fast-developing environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a result-driven team, problem solving spirit is required
• Deliver results and commit to achieve personal challenging objectives
• Proactive, fast learner, flexible and can-do attitude
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic personality
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent knowledge of English both in speech and in writing
