What we offer:

Dematic has an immediate need for a Plant Controller based out in Belgium supporting the facility

This role is responsible for providing financial direction and driving operating profit and cash flow improvement. Responsible for talent development of the Finance team. Strong leadership and team builder skills needed. Strong analytical skills to understand financials and provide causals. Supports in the preparation of various financial reports; Standard costing system and ERP accuracy. Compiles and reviews financial plans and budgets. Performs financial analysis at complex levels including rate of return, depreciation, working capital, investments, financial and expense performance comparisons. Participates in ensuring conformance to FASB requirements and GAAP. This role is a key asset in the company, team player with a strong urgency sense and customer service is a must for this position.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Factory Controlling Responsibilities:
  • Define strategies to achieve the financials goals of the factories, identify leading and lagging key performance indicators.
  • Prepare and present cost center forecasts, monthly review of actual to forecast and plan, and drive the annual budget process for that location.
  • Calculate, review and ensure accuracy in Belgium standard costs including purchase price variance and production variances.
  • Prepare a monthly forecast for upcoming workload for location based on both backlog (booked work) and new business.
  • Establish SQDC (Safety Quality Delivery Cost) mentality in the plant and communicate the financial performance of the plant on a daily basis.
  • Develop strong financial and internal controls for the plants and ensure procedures are followed in accordance to company standards.
  • Business Partner with Operations Management
  • Manage the Accounting department for the functions of responsibility

Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Finance or Accounting, or similar field is required
  • Requires 5-8 years relevant experience in a Management role in a Manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrated ability to make decisions is required
  • Strong communication skills including an ability to explain results to Management and make recommendations as necessary
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Suite of products and various ERP systems
  • SKILSS SAP and Hyperion-Oracle
  • English advanced
  • Travel percentage 25%
