Plant Quality Manager - Water Filtration Chemical Products - Sint-NiklaasThis global and fast-growing company that produces filtration products, is looking for a Plant Quality Manager for their manufacturing site in Sint-Niklaas. The products are varied with a technical and chemical aspect, as well as using textile and propylene in their filters. The Plant quality Manager would be responsible for a smaller sized manufacturing plant with about 100 people operating on site.
The company is striving for improvement and the Plant Quality Manager would have to manage the already implemented ISO 9001 standard. In addition, as Plant Quality Manager, you will verify that the processes for manufacture meet customer needs and requirements, reducing variation, improving process capability and solving problems. The role works closely with the production team and all other plant functions such as sales and customer service.
Responsibilities
Manage the quality system & ISO 9001, developing, launching and maintaining it to adhere to requirements, product specifications and legal standards. Act as Management representative for these systems.
Responsible for Quality Control related administration
Analysis and registration of Internal Deviation Reports and Customer Complaints
The plan for the calibration of measurement instruments
The plan for the ISO and EQS internal audits, as well as management of relevant documents
Collaborate with Purchasing department for the Yearly Supplier Performance Evaluation
Exist as a member of the Plant Team Leadership Evaluation, participating in relevant meetings
Register, analyse and report on Key Quality Performance Indicators
Act as direct manager to the Quality Control assistant, giving performance evaluations and scheduling their plan.
Act as a single point plant contact on all Quality issues.
Work with Customer Quality Engineers/Analysts on respective product lines to ensure processes meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations
Manager regulatory product compliance
Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
Experience of 3 years in a manufacturing environment and a similar role
Good knowledge of ISO 9001 and qualified as internal auditor.
Technical acumen and customer oriented
Ethical, passionate, accountable, efficient and transparent
Strong communication and coaching capability.
Willing to learn with desire to raise the bar.
Comfortable in a prescriptive environment where details matter
A problem solver with team spirit.
Computer skills (Excel, Powerpoint, Word…).
Fluent in English.
