The Industrial function’s role is to help the Solvay Group in safety initiatives and support the group’s transformation in operational excellence.

Job Overview and Responsibilities

Participation in the execution of process engineering studies for the design of new installations, the improvement of the performance of existing Production Units or their modification, as well as the support to R&I teams (Research & Innovation) for development projects.

Main mission:
Process Design and Modeling,
  • Sizing, specification and selection of equipment (reactors, separation columns, heat exchangers, rotating equipment …),
  • Maintenance and development of know how related to Group Processes,
  • Sharing knowledge by developing guidelines, design tools etc.

Education and Experience

  • Master Degree in Process and / or Chemical Engineering or similar,
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in process engineering,
  • Proficiency with modeling tools (such as Aspen) is strongly recommended,
  • Prior experience in investment projects is an asset.

Skills

  • Customer Orientation, Proactive Collaboration, Autonomy, Scientific Rigor,
  • English (mandatory), French (mandatory),
  • Willingness to travel (international scope) is required.
