We are looking to expand our team in Genk (Limburg, BE) with a driven Project Manager. As a Project manager within Vaimo, you will have a central role in our pursuit to drive success in digital commerce. You will be responsible for delivering a project from start to finish, managing both internal and external stakeholders. You will have a broad responsibility that will require strong leadership skills, structure, creativity, and the ability to identify the most efficient solutions for our clients. You will work closely with our external clients and Vaimo development teams with the main focus to deliver high quality throughout our projects.

You will work in an ambitious, casual, and fun atmosphere, where the pace is high and all voices matter.

Key Responsibilities & Work Tasks
  • Project management of Frontend development, Backend development, and integration of websites based on Magento eCommerce platform.
  • Work as a product owner in a Scrum or Kanban development process.
  • Maintaining a product backlog and handle sprint and release planning
  • Work with requirement detailing and creating user stories that clients and team can understand.
  • Work with development teams and clients to provide reliable estimates and timelines for development tasks
  • Work with internal Design/UX teams and customers in design workshops.
  • Work with hosting and development teams to set up and maintain staging and production environments
  • Keep external and internal stakeholders updated about project deliverables.


We believe that you have a strong project management background and know-how to handle all aspects of complex projects, such as defining customer demands and requirements, solution development, budget and resource planning. We work in a fast-paced environment which will require great structure for planning and communication. Our projects are focused on OMNIchannel solutions and can vary in regards to size and complexity, but all equally important.

In order to succeed in this role, you need to be customer-oriented and flexible. You are passionate about delivering the best solutions for our customers and have strong communication skills. You need to be a team player but be able to independently drive your projects. You are used to a dynamic environment and have the ability to structure your own time and projects in the best possible way.

What We Expect From You
  • 5+ experience from project management, eCommerce or business development
  • Experience in agile project delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high volumes of workflow including prioritization, planning and task delegation under tight deadlines
  • Strong proactive communication skills, entrepreneurial approach, ability to function in a fast-paced environment and ability to collaborate in a team environment
  • Relevant academic background (e.g. business development, e-commerce)
  • Native Dutch, Fluent English both verbal and written and French is a plus.
  • Degree / Diploma in Information Technology / Informatics / Business


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working as a Product Owner in a Scrum process
  • Experience working with remote/offshore development teams.
  • Experience of working with JIRA
