SII Belgium is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Python Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing software applications, as well as maintaining and improving existing systems. You would join various teams working in AGILE mode for projects in the Energy, Retail, Banking or Media sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support design and troubleshooting efforts

  • Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.

  • Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.

  • Promote technical growth, making recommendations on software.

  • Ensure continuous integration and deployment of solutions

  • Deliver scalable web applications according to agreed planning and budget

  • Test applications and overcome technical issues encountered

  • Add value to the sales cycle by giving input to your commercial colleagues (presales)

  • Train customers and users

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience, you’re able to write clear and maintainable code

  • Familiar with Agile methodology such as Scrum; TDD

  • Good knowledge of Python (Flask, Pandas, Celery ...)

  • Experienced in Unit-testing

  • Experience with Angular, PostgreSQL is an added value.

  • Problem solving and debugging skills

  • General best practices and design practices

  • Fluent in English and Dutch or French
