Join Our Team as a Senior Accountant and Team Leader

Our accounting team, serves as the backbone of our Group’s financial operations, ensuring compliant processes across various units.

Imagine a role where you are at the helm of financial leadership. As a Senior Accountant and Team Leader, you will be the guardian of IFRS compliance, preparing external quarterly and annual reports, and overseeing the critical monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.

Your expertise will not only guide the financial health of our operations but also foster a collaborative, high-performing environment for your junior colleagues.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Ensuring Compliance: You’ll guarantee adherence to IFRS and local regulations, keeping us in line with the highest standards.
  • Financial Reporting: Your skills will shine as you prepare precise and insightful external reports.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Leading our team, you’ll train and support junior accountants, cultivating their growth and ensuring our team remains cohesive and motivated.
  • Group Consolidation: You’ll play a crucial role in consolidating our group entities, ensuring seamless integration and reporting.
  • Audit Collaboration: Working closely with internal and external auditors, you’ll facilitate thorough and accurate audits.
  • Policy Documentation: Keeping our policies and documentation up-to-date will be part of your meticulous attention to detail.
  • Financial Analysis: Your analytical skills will help us interpret financial data, providing valuable support to management.
  • Digital Transformation: You’ll spearhead financial digitalization projects, driving efficiency and innovation.
  • Journal and Ledger Oversight: Monitoring journal entries, payroll, and ledgers will ensure our financial records are impeccable.
  • Statutory Reporting: Preparing statutory declarations and reports will be a key responsibility.
  • AP Team Support: Assisting with invoices, payments, and transactions will keep our processes running smoothly.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accountancy or a similar field.
  • 5 years of experience in a financial role with substantial IFRS reporting experience, ideally in a public or international setting.
  • Proven leadership and mentorship abilities, demonstrating your capability to guide and nurture junior colleagues.
  • Expertise in IFRS & BEGAAP, with bonus points for experience in production and SAP.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English, combined with excellent communication skills.
  • Attributes of integrity, attention to detail, and a steadfast commitment to meeting deadlines.
