In one platform, Sortlist brings together companies and service providers in the marketing, creative & web development industry. Through an extensive database and artificial intelligence, Sortlist allows SMB’s & Corporate to quickly find the supplier that best suits their needs. Everyday, Sortlist guides more than 300 companies to define their needs, discover & meet qualitative business partners to help them innovate & develop their business.
We are looking for a Senior Business Manager who is willing to become a lead in the following months, to recruit and to create a team of international consultants.
The challenge of this new position at Sortlist is threefold:

  • Respond to incoming client requests and find the best partner to meet their needs. You will help the project owner framing his/her business challenges and recommend him/her to meet some of the best partners matching her/his requirements on Sortlist.
  • Manage the continuous improvement of the matching on your portfolio of requests via coordination with other Sortlist teams such as: Match-Making team, Product, Sales, Data & Marketing.
  • Hunt with your enthusiasm and persuasiveness and build a client portfolio consisting of companies looking for the best service providing agencies for their web, creative or digital needs.

The missionof the business manager is to create the best portfolio of companies that are looking to invest a considerable amount of budget in any IT, marketing or consultative projects along the year. They are there to convert those companies into recurring clients, by having the best consultative approach to drive impactful results on the supply side.
Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the full cycle on the company side: we expect you to lead to successful collaborations in your territories.
  • Increase the reactivity in the response for High qualitative projects to less than 2 hours on average.
  • Have a clean pipeline based on projects, monitoring companies with high intent and a clean portfolio based on a tiering.
  • Get at least 30% of the projects from nurturing: you should be able to drive a new stream of projects through our current database.
  • Work hands in hands with the product tribes to be able to automatize most of the time consuming efforts.
  • Create long relationships with clients in order to get repetitive business & get exclusive agreements with your top companies.

Skills needed

  • Business curiosity: having the “flair”, being able to challenge someone’s strategy based on an active listening and natural curiosity.
  • Autonomy: you should show strength in your past experience with a great sense of autonomy: being able to take ownership of new projects and lead them to success.
  • Hard-worker: you have to show a great hard-working attitude; you’re afraid of taking the extra miles to reach results. Whatever it takes.
  • Passion for sales: at ease with cold calls, face to face meetings, challenging and fast growing environment

Your profile:

  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience working as a Senior/Team Lead
  • Experience as an entrepreneur or consultant role/ having worked in an agency would be appreciated
  • Based ideally in one of the countries where we have an office; partially working from home is also accepted
  • Fluent in English; any other European language is a plus (ES/FR/DE/NL)
  • Previous experience in working with HubSpot or any other similar platforms
