Overview:
As a Senior Designer, you are a reference in providing CAD support to Eastern Hemispehere Operations and in mentoring less epxerienced team members.
Responsibilities:
Your duties will mainly be to:

CAD expertise and support (80%)
  • Produce the manufacturing package and any CAD documents in accordance with procedures and guidelines, in a timely manner and with quality,
  • Make CAD cinematic studies when needed,
  • When working on a design, if applicable, suggest design improvements with concerned Pre-Production Engineering team member,
  • Participate in the update and maintenance of existing CAD documents (drawings, PDP’s, …)
  • Create new part numbers and updates,
  • Ensure the filing of the drawings in the database,
  • When required, conduct verifications of CAD documents made by other team members,
  • Keep the drafting equipment in proper working order and reports eventual problems to the IT department,
On top of duties above, as a Senior Designer, you are expeted to:
  • Support the development of less experienced team members by providing CAD & technical guidance,
  • Gain a thorough knowledge of TDW products with respect to design limitations, manufacturing techniques, etc., in order to provide technical assistance,
  • Provide support for revisions to designs guidelines and procedures,
  • For new product line or standardization effort on existing product line, participate to design reviews and provide technical inputs on suggested design,
  • Provide support to identify a solution suitable for non-standard products/solutions.
Continuous improvement (20%)
  • Identifies CAD improvements (layout improvements, CAD capabilities, …) and proposes them to Pre-Production team members and manager,
  • Participates in CAD system improvement implementations,
  • Maintains the database (TeamCenter, Octopus, AX…) as appropriate,
  • Assists in resolution of NCR, implements CAPA’s when needed and share lessons learned with the team.
Qualifications:
You may be our ideal candidate if:
  • You own a high school degree in industrial design with minimum 20 years of relevant experience,
  • You have a sound experience with the applicable CAD systems (e.g., SolidWorks, TeamCenter etc.),
  • You are fluent in French with a good knowledge of English (read/understand technical documentation),
  • You are IT literate and possess good knowledge of Microsoft suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, …),
  • Ideally, you own good ERP / MRP knowledges,
  • You have ability to work closely and communicate with all levels of the organization
  • You are proactive, well organized, stress resistant and rigorous.
