Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Expert in Energy and/or Electrical Grids to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the energy market, including its technical aspects such as (smart) energy production, distribution, consumption, renewable energy sources, grid management, and energy storage technologies, and regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and provide technical assistance to cities, islands and small companies in regards to use of various technologies for decarbonisation.
  • Ensuring the soundness of the proposed underlying technical approaches.
  • Lead and manage projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
  • Coordinate and liaise with various stakeholders, including EU institutions, national authorities, regulators, and grid operators.
  • Report and publication writing.

Qualifications

  • Education: A Masters degree in engineering (electrical, energy, mechanical, civil), applied sciences or similar.
  • A Ph.D. in a technical field is a plus.
  • Experience in coordinating research and innovation projectsis a plus.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English (C2 level).
  • Enjoys working in a multicultural and interdisciplinary environment.
  • Key Competencies:

Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to draſt comprehensive reports.

Acquainted with both the technical aspects of energy transition.
