Overview:
As our Chief Accoutant, you will ensure accurate accounting and payroll management for our entity (including all branches and representation offices), in accordance with local regulations & legal aspects of Belgian accounting and US reporting principles. You will also be the star of BEGAAP and tax aspects in TDW Srl.
Responsibilities:
You will have a following responsibilities:

Accounting supervision for TDW SRL (60%)
  • Oversees the accounts payable function to ensure vendor invoices are properly approved and paid on a timely basis,
  • Oversees the fixed asset function and ensures appropriate calculation and bookkeeping of depreciation,
  • Prepares standard journal vouchers and monthly allocations on a timely basis to adhere to the closing schedule,
  • Supervises the reconciliation of the following general ledger accounts: accounts payable/receivable, employee receivables, payroll and payroll tax accounts, sales taxes payable, prepaid expenses, to ensure accurate financial reporting,
  • Ensures the development, preparation and presentation of monthly management reporting,
  • Reviews and files the tax declarations and act as a subject matter expert for all VAT related topics,
  • Prepares the audit files, coordinates the auditors’ visit and answers all their questions relating to accounting entries,
  • Identifies and implements process improvements related to accounts payable/receivable, payroll, fixed assets and general accounting,
  • Achieves special projects as assigned by the Finance Manager;
Payroll (30%)
  • In charge of payroll related activities for TD Williamson srl and its branches and TD Williamson Italiana, including the collect of all pay related variables and filing of documentation,
  • Informs HR in case of inconsistencies in Workday for Belgian workers,
  • Ensures the relationship with the payroll company and act with them on process continuous improvement,
  • Is responsible for personnel insurance records maintenance, contacts and follow-up,
  • Keeps abreast of development in social legislation and work closely with HR to get the best out of it ;
Subject Matter Expert on General Accounting (10%)
  • Ensure continuous development on new regulations regarding BEGAAP or tax aspects
  • Act as point of contact for any question regarding belgian accounting principles and payroll related questions,
  • Collaborates with the local finance team to lead process improvements within the department.
Qualifications:
You may be our ideal candidate if :
  • You own an accounting degree with at least 5 years general accounting experience and payroll management experience (experience in a Manufacturing company is an asset),
  • You have perfect knowledge of Belgian accounting rules and US accounting principles,
  • You Demonstrate strong organizational skills and multi-tasking skills,
  • You have a high sense of confidentiality, you are rigorous and love details,
  • You are IT literate and eager to implement process changes,
  • You are fluent in French and English.
